Jill Palmer, who was stunned when her husband left her for another woman, is as straight-laced as they come. Her best friend, Lauren Masters, is just the opposite. Lauren is a believer is anything metaphysical, and in an attempt to get Jill out of her doldrums, Lauren sets her up for a past-life regression. Reluctantly, Jill goes, and while she turns out to be an excellent subject, she doesn't believe what she is revealing has anything to do with reality.
As she goes back to lifetimes in three different era's, however, one thing remains constant. She is continually linked to the man she believes must be her soul mate, and as her belief in her past lives begins to grow, she can only wonder "Where is he now?"
From the seacoast of Ireland to the streets of London and Boston, Jill discovers lifetimes she could never imagine. But were they real, or just a figment of her imagination? Jill searches for the one clue that might tell her, and the man she hopes to find once more.
